While this won’t be of much interest to established Smoke users, anyone curious about the workings of the latest version (2011) of Autodesk’s finishing and compositing system will want to turn in at 2pm on Tuesday, June 15th for this free Createasphere webinar.
Editor Barry Goch will use Smoke to alter a BMW commercial with footage captured using AJA’s KONA 3 board. The first part of the session in fact has AJA Field Service Engineer Tery Williams showing how to install the card, although, come on, it can’t be all that difficult.
Expect to see demo’d Smoke’s paint module, 3D text effects, and Action, the apps 3D “compositing environment”.
If you think you might want to watch this, register ASAP since Createasphere says they will cap viewers at 500 participants. Considering that this is a virtual webinar, I’m not sure what the deal is with limiting the number of viewers, but perhaps it’s because the instructors will answer questions from viewers during the session.
