Over the past 18 months, UK-based photographer Philip Bloom has made himself into one of the go-to guys for shooting video with an HDSLR. His cool-headed reviews of his tests as well as discussing jobs done as he worked with various gear has enabled him to unexpectedly, as he relates it, grow his site into a popular authority on the subject.

Here’s Bloom’s easy going diary of shooting the first parts of the film with various Canon HDSLRs, along with info on 3rd party gear including lenses and rigs.
